sorry having trouble completing your fault form.
On 20th April i rode a short circular route near Herstmonceux Place. I hadn't ridden this route for over a year and was upset to find the amount of barbed wire at the side of the bridle path. The worst part of the track being from the end of teh no through road leading from the Horseshoe pub at Windmill Hill. As you pass the farm on the right the track gets narrower and you need to be careful to avoid barbed wire and rabbit holes - just a warning to riders really. Sorry wish i had taken photos, used to love that ride as some great canters but i have a barbed wire phobia so not sure i would be keen to ride it again.
Also rode round Arlington resevoir for the second time on Monday 3rd May and do not like the narrow path behind the farmhouse that fronts the resevoir. If you meet another rider coming in the opposite direction hope that one of you is good at backing up as turning is limited and again more barbed wire. The first time i rode it with a friend we came across a family with a buggy and 2 dogs. We have 2 large horses and i felt nervous on behalf of the parents as it must have been daunting have us pass their baby. I really don't think this path is wide enough for purpose.
Finally the track that leaves the A22 into Abbotts wood from Cophall roundabout is very low immediately after you cross the track joining the fields. I have to lie flat to get under the branches.
Will endeavour to take camera with me in future as a picture speaks a thousand words!
There is some great riding in the area and i am very lucky to have met many considerate people walkers, cyclists, motorists, its not all bad but i would love it to be better!

Yes, it is a shame we have to walk our routes first to try them out. This one is a classic. It is a Bridleway, you would think from Endlewick to the A27, but over the railway it was downgraded to a footpath! Clever. Even so they have no business putting in styles instead of bridlegates on the rest of it. We want the crossing upgraded, not the rest downgraded! This one is mentioned in Chapter 6 of the Rights of Way Improvement Plan.

sorry but having trouble with your bridleway problem form. Can't find any details to say this one has been reported so sorry if it has.
On 28th March 2010 i thought i would walk my dogs to check out the bridlepaths round Arlington. I wanted to ride the Wealdway from Endlewick Farm to the A27 and back. But this would prove impossible as the fingerpost by the farm indicated the bridlepath clearly but a few hundred yards down the track and you come to a stile. As i was walking i climbed it to see if there may be another way through but a short distance on was another stile. I didn't walk any further as there seemed no point as it was to check out a ride, so i walked back on the Wealdway to the resevoir. I do not know the number but on your map the reference shows E553985 N106660.
I would be happy to walk the route and take pictures if it is of assistance. I generally prefer to walk my rides first just in case i encounter problems - i don't like surprises.
